New to FCC?

Are you new to FCC?

It can be a daunting experience to walk into a church for the first time. When you first come to FCC we hope that you will be immediately welcomed by one of our ushers who greet you at the door. Those ushers are there to serve you, so if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask them.

For all of our Sunday services we provide a well-staffed nursery if you have need of childcare. Ask the ushers and they can point you in the right direction. We also provide an overflow room where the Sunday morning services are live-streamed. This room can also be utilized for parents of small children.

One of the most important things we ask of our first time visitors is to fill out the infamous “blue card”. This card provides us with a record of your visit and some of the most basic information about you. Providing this information allows one of our pastors to contact you should you have any questions about the church.

What is FCC like?

We are a very eclectic group. We don’t fit into a simple category. People come from all sorts of different walks of life. We have older folks and younger folks. Married, divorced, and single. Rich to poor. Simple to highly educated. And we have a bunch of children!

What do people wear to church?

We are a very eclectic group. We don’t fit into a simple category. Some people wear their Sunday best while others come more casual. It would not be unusual to observe someone in a nice business suit talking in the hall with someone in jeans and sandals.

What should I bring?

This may sound like an odd question, but it really does express what you can expect when you first come to FCC. When you visit bring your Bible but leave your checkbook home. One of the first things you will notice about our service is that we do not pass around a plate for the offering. We believe giving is a privilege and responsibility of the members of the church. As such, the Bible explains that giving should be intentional, cheerful, and discreet. We provide offering boxes in the sanctuary for those who desire to financially participate in this ministry.

How do I get get to know people more deeply?

We suggest two things, we have a New Members class.  You don’t have to become a member but this course is available at various times for you to explore the possibilities of becoming a member of Faith Community Church. You can contact us via our contact page and ask when the new class begins and get signed up. Feel free to contact us and ask today!  Contact Form

The second suggestion we recommend to get plugged in more deeply is to engage in our Fellowship Group ministry.  The easiest way to get involved is going to the Fellowship Group Ministry page under Ministries and filling out the online enrollment form.
